So before coming to France I spent four lovely days in Barcelona, Spain. ("bar-the-lona" in Spanish) I explored the city a lot by myself which was a new and enjoyable experience. I was able to meet up with a friend Allan and his close friends who are studying at the university. I was able to see Gaudi's architecture whom I had researched for my repeat class and was so excited to see his buildings in person. I went to many museums including the
Picasso and
Joan Miro museums. I saw cathedrals, walked through gardens, went to the beach, ate a home cooked Spanish meal, and enjoyed many cafe con leches and some Sangria!

one of Joan Miro's paitings... his abstract work really got me
thinking there are so many niches to fill out there
Traveling alone inspired me a lot. I am determined to learn Spanish (really!), and get better at French. I know I want to do a lot
of traveling in my lifetime and I think I would be willing to go practically anywhere! I did a lot of people watching, and have this desire to get to know people and share their stories with others. I really hope that one day the art I am making will allow me to do just that!
